The Covid-19 pandemic took away many lives across the world, and the worst hit were the people on the socio-economic margins of society. This fundraiser was a small effort to raise public funds globally via GoFundMe to help people, particularly in rural areas of the states of Bihar and Maharashtra in India, access oxygen during the second wave of Covid-19 in 2021. The objective was to bridge the inequality in access to healthcare deepened by the Covid-19 pandemic. With the help of kind-hearted and passionate supporters from around the world, who came forward to donate to this cause, a total of around 16 lakhs INR (£15,780) was raised and 80 jumbo oxygen cylinders were sent to the two states with the help of NGOs.
